Entertainment to wow region

WHAT better way for the local pubs and clubs to celebrate than to be part of the bet365 Swan Hill June Racing Carnival this weekend.

And the action started early this year with the Drowning Sorrows Duo kicking off the entertainment with a stand in the Swan Hill RSL at 138 Curlewis St.

This Friday night, at the same venue, Tony Haley with his amazing mix of singing styles and pub favourites will take centre stage and Saturday night people will be able to catch Paul Rovere.

Sunday wraps the weekend with That Guy and the RSL said its bistro will be open for lunch and dinner on every day of the racing carnival.

But if the RSL is going down the toe-tapping path, the Swan Hill Club at 5-17 McCallum St is taking its customers to a whole other dimension for the long weekend.

Saturday night from 7.30pm you can join Australian medium Simon Hay, who will apparently “amaze and entertain you with messages and accurate information from spirit”.

Hay is a psychic medium, medical intuitive and healer who travels throughout Australia doing private sessions and events.

At these events, Simon shares messages and accurate information from spirit, but he’s passionate about educating about energy healing and mediumship so he also answers audience questions about his career.

If you’re curious about communicating to spirit and energy healing, or anything from the other side, this is one show you can’t miss.

This Friday night, as a warm-up for Saturday’s big show, the SHC starts its evening with a happy hour from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and the bistro will be open, there will be raffles to win and there’s even a big selection of slushies on the menu.

On Sunday night, after the running of the big race, the club will be throwing its 2025 Swan Hill Cup after party from 8pm. Also on Sunday, the Federal Hotel will have the Drowning Sorrows Duo from 9pm.
