BLACK Friday sales started this week and are a great chance to begin filling Christmas stockings at bargain prices.

Local retailers will offer a variety of discounted items until next Monday, with some as much as 50 per cent off recommended retail pricing.

Black Friday falls on November 29 and concludes after Cyber Monday on December 2, but many retailers will be running the sale all this week.
