Twilight Art Market Another Success

The third Twilight Arts Market was a huge success on Saturday afternoon, as crowds of people made their way through more than 20 stalls packed with bespoke products produced by local artisans.

People were lined up at the doors of the Swan Hill Town Hall before they opened at 4pm.

Visitors were treated to a range of handcrafted products, music by Grim Faulkner and a variety of food options that included African and Indigenous cuisine.

An interactive audio-visual art installation was themed on the harvest and how important and significant that is to Swan Hill and surrounds.

Keeping to the harvest theme, there was an art workshop on the mezzanine featuring corn dollies where participants worked with wheat.

There was even a flash mob of young dancers performing the platypus dance, narrated by local Imparja Pettit.

Attendees were encouraged to participate in the dance, and learn more about Indigenous story time.

Market curator Nina McNamara said that many of the stall holders were new.

“The focus is really on the art, the main focus of the market is for people to connect with the maker and creator of the work, Ms McNamara said.
