RUNNERS donned tutus for Saturday’s Lake Boga Foreshore Parkrun, a tradition when the event lands on the 22nd of the month.
Event director Sarah Crook said it was the group’s second tutu event for the year, with another coming up in November.
“It great to see volunteers and participants wearing their tutus,” she said.
The community turns out for the free volunteer-led event every Saturday at 8am to take on the 5km track at their own pace.
The first finisher of Saturday’s 46 participants was Joe Summerhayes with a time of 19:05 minutes, setting a new personal best.
The Easter Saturday event will be the Lake Boga chapter’s 200th parkrun.
