FRIDAY

8.30pm: Live music at Swan Hill Club featuring Whiskey Business.

8pm-10pm: Shaun Kirk at Swan Hill Town Hall. An award-winning blues and soul troubadour, recognised for his exceptional gift as a born entertainer. Tickets online at swanhilltownhall.com or at Swan Hill Town Hall booking office or Swan Hill Region Information Centre.


SATURDAY

8.30am-12.30pm: Murrabit Market featuring fresh home-grown produce, food stalls, morning tea available at the hall, bric-a-brac, plants, fishing gear, recycled iron, woodware, crafts and live entertainment adds to the relaxed atmosphere.

9am-1pm: Swan Hill Market at Riverside Park. Explore a variety of stalls offering unique crafts, gifts and hot food. Bring your friends and family for a morning of enjoyment and support a great cause.


SUNDAY

2pm: Swan Hill Ukulele Group at Swan Hill Club.


MONDAY

9am: NAIDOC march. Behind the clock tower and walk to MDAS. 10am flag raising and morning tea.

7.30pm: Rock and roll dancing at Murray Downs Golf and Country Club.


TUESDAY

10.30am-11.30am: Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery school holiday activities. Create a creature for primary-aged children. Cost is $5 or free with a gallery family membership. For details, email artgal@swanhill.vic.gov.au.

11am-1pm: Lake Boga school holiday event. The library outreach vehicle brings a school holiday event to Gray Park, Lake Boga. Magic is the theme and creation is the key. Find the magic, craft, pet rocks, imagination. Free all ages event.

11am-3pm: NAIDOC Week family fun day at the tennis and soccer clubs. Colour run, jumping castle, arts and crafts, barbecue, children’s tennis, cultural activities and games.


WEDNESDAY

9am-3pm: AFL school holiday program. Basic football skills, mini games and other activities for four to seven-year-olds. NAB AFL Superkick, with a mix of skill development modified game play and other activitities suitable for eight to 12-year-olds. For details, email madeline.pieper@afl.com.au.

10am-3pm: NAIDOC Week at Swan Hill Basketball Stadium youth versus justice game. Come along and cheer on our teams in a deadly day of community spirit and friendly competition. Basketball workshop, barbecue lunch, awards and gifts.

11am-1pm: Nyah West school holiday event. The library outreach vehicle brings a school holiday event to Nyah West. All children to be actively supervised by an adult. Let the magic of Jack and the Beanstalk run wild and create your very own beanstalk garden. Watch out for that Giant. Free all ages event.

7.30pm: Queen 50th Anniversary Tour at Swan Hill Town Hall. It’s a kinda magic returns down under. Celebrating 50 years of Bohemian Rhapsody. Tickets available online at swanhilltownhall.com or from Swan Hill Town Hall booking office or Swan Hill Region Information Centre.


THURSDAY

ALL MONTH

July 7-18, various times: School holiday activities at Swan Hill Regional Library. Contact the library to book on 5036 2480. Check the library’s Facebook page or newsletter for more details. Youth-friendly, free activites are: creation station, a magical search and find, build battle and blast off: Minecraft and VR fun, magic and science fair, brick by brick, get creative with looms bands, magical twilight tales, sand-tastic art, glow and go: neon jewellery making, little chefs: roll and yum, STEM engineering, rock it, pet it, love it, crafternoon fun. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

July 5-20, 10am-7.45pm: Skate Fest Swan Hill. An exciting winter-themed event taking place in the heart of Swan Hill. Families, children and visitors of all ages are invited to experience the magic of ice skating on a state-of-the-art synthetic ice rink. Creating all the fun of winter wonderland without the chill. Skate sessions run in timed blocks. Skates provided, seating for spectators, music and tasty treats on site to enjoy between skates. Visit Swan Hill Inc Facebook page for ticket details.

July 9 and 16, 1pm-3pm: Children’s art workshops at Woorinen South Community Hall. For ages five to 15. Facilitated by members of Mallee Artists Group.

Week one: Fabulous fingerpainting. Week two: Finky animals. Cost is $15 for first child, $10 for extra child. Bookings essential on 0437 879 261. Bring your own snack. All materials provided.
