PIANGIL Memorial Park came alive with the community's inaugural Australia Day lunch.
Piangil Memorial Park and Recreation Reserve Inc Committee secretary Glenda O’Bree said it was a really good day.
"We had 60 attendees at one point, with mainly Piangil residents, some campers from the caravan park and other visitors," she said.
Piangil RSL vice-president Trevor Tobias officially opened the day with a recitation of the Australian citizenship affirmation, followed by Pastor Nikolao Navuluwai’s blessing of the meal.
