A PLANNING application for a limestone quarry at Piangil has been approved by Swan Hill Rural City Council.

The limestone extracted from the quarry will be used in the construction of roads, concrete and other building materials, and is expected to create local employment opportunities and resources which will benefit the wider Swan Hill region.
