Cricket’s back on in Swan Hill

ROUND nine of the Swan Hill District Cricket Association is on tomorrow, with teams playing one day games.

Tooleybuc Manangatang hosts Ultima TUF, St Mary’s Tyntynder is at home to Woorinen, Swan Hill takes on Lakers and Nyah tackles RSL.

Tooleybuc Manangatang v Ultima TUF

AFTER going down to Woorinen in the last round before the break, Tooleybuc Manangatang will be hoping to bounce back when it takes on Ultima TUF tomorrow.

The defeat cost the resurgent Tooleybuc Manangatang top spot on the ladder, with the side now sitting third in a tight top four.

Chasing 158, Tooleybuc Manangatang fell about 30 runs shy of the total with only Simon Craig providing any real resistance with 31 runs.

Tooleybuc Manangatang struggled with the ball, too, with only Kallen Heslop offering much with four wickets.

Tomorrow, the home side will need to lift in both departments if it is to take full advantage of coming up against the struggling Ultima TUF.

Ultima TUF were at home to Nyah District last outing, but suffered a comprehensive loss after setting the visitors a mere 67 for victory.

For Tooleybuc Manangatang, a win will keep it in touch with the top two while Ultima TUF is playing out the season.
