Splash of colour at St Mary’s

IT was a sea of colour on Murlong Street last Friday as St Mary’s Primary School held their Colour Run.

The colourful activity was part of the school’s Race Week, where the students walk or run laps around the oval every day at lunchtime for their house teams in preparation for the cross country carnival.

The Colour Run was a fundraiser by the Parents and Friends committee for the school’s new sensory garden, which will be constructed later this year.

St Mary’s Primary School principal Kate Quinn, who was covered in colour herself on Friday, said it was great to see so many people back in the school.

“This is a lovely, fun way to have an engagement activity to have our families back in after two years of COVID,” she said.
