Annual exhibition to brighten Lake Boga

LOCAL artists and photographers are invited to get creating in preparation for Lake Boga Lions Club’s annual exhibition in February 2022.

With the theme ‘The Mallee Through My Eyes’, this will be an opportunity for budding and experienced Picassos alike to pay homage to this corner of the world.

The opening night will take place on Friday February 18 at the Catalina Flying Boat Museum, with support from the Swan Hill Council.

Although this year’s ‘Visions of Boga’ exhibition was postponed several times, it eventually took place in April and showcased an incredible array of Mallee talent.

Pamela Austerberry came away with first prize for her work which combined wartime imagery of faces against a backdrop of water.

Emerging Indigenous artist and Kalkadoon man Tobie Cameron, in his exhibition debut, was the people’s choice winner.

Enquiries regarding the upcoming art show can be directed to Robyn Howarth on 0432 410 022.
