THE inaugural Under the Stars event at Riverside Park next month featuring RocKwiz Live has been cancelled due to flooding in the region.
With the Murray River expected to reach major flood levels early next month, organisers have postponed the event from November 12 to March 18 next year.
“Everyone involved with the planning for RocKwiz Live Under The Stars wants this to be a massive, successful, fun event,” council director of community and cultural services Bruce Myers said.
“With the highwater events, road closures and uncertainty across northern Victoria, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule.
“We know a lot of people have purchased tickets and we want them to be able to get here and enjoy the show.”
Pre-purchased tickets will be automatically rolled over to the new date.
The Swan Hill Town Hall bookings office will be in contact with all ticket holders over the next few days.
