Gallery’s last hurrah

IN its final exhibition for the year, the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery will showcase works from its iconic permanent collection.

Here We Are! is an opportunity for art enthusiasts to experience a curated display of cherished artworks before the much-anticipated start of the Art Gallery’s redevelopment.

Gallery director Ian Tully said the Here We Are! exhibition promised a journey through time and creativity, showcasing a diverse array of artwork that has found a permanent home in the gallery.

“From awe-inspiring paintings to thought-provoking sculptures, this collection reflects the cultural richness and artistic legacy of the region,” Mr Tully said.

“This exhibition is a testament to the artistic heritage and cultural significance that the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery proudly holds.

“It is a moment to appreciate the depth of talent and creativity encapsulated in our permanent collection.

“Following the exhibition, these remarkable pieces from the permanent collection will go into storage as we embark on the exciting journey of the Art Gallery’s redevelopment.”

The exhibition will serve as a tribute to the artists, collectors, and supporters whose contributions have shaped the gallery’s narrative and established it as a beacon of artistic expression within the Swan Hill region.

The final showcase will be launched on Friday, December 8 from 6-8pm.

“I extend a warm invitation to art enthusiasts, locals, and visitors to come along and immerse yourself in the compelling stories and artistic expressions of the region,” Mr Tully added.
