MORE wind is blowing into the Balranald region as a turbine farm - that could power up to 470,000 homes - is on the cards.

Early consultation for the Australian-owned Windlab project will investigate the area, including its potential end location between Yanga Way and Balranald Road, about 15km from Balranald.
