MURRAY DOWNS MENS James Downing eclipsed the field in last Saturday’s December monthly medal stroke competition held at Murray Downs.

Downing, playing from a handicap of 20, shot a great round of 83, to finish with a net score of 63, convincingly taking out the medal by four shots.

His round consisted of four double bogies, on holes 1, 2, 10 and 17 and an eagle three, on the 7th hole.
