MDAS opens doors to all for Pfizer jabs

MALLEE District Aboriginal Services in Swan Hill is providing Pfizer vaccinations to non-Aboriginal people.

MDAS chief executive Jacki Turfrey said in a statement the organisation expected to retain secure supplies of the vaccine, providing demand was strong.

MDAS offered the vaccinations against Covid to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 16 and over in early June, and recently extending the program to non-Indigenous people aged 40-59 and those eligible under Phase 1a and 1b of the federal government's vaccine roll-out, or people otherwise eligible for health reasons.

Mr Turfrey said it was important to encourage family members, Elders and the community to get vaccinated to protect as many people as we could against Covid.
