SWAN Hill's COVID-19 testing clinic has relocated to increase safety for motorists using the service as the weather heats up.
The Swan Hill District Health (SHDH)-run Swan Hill Drive Through Testing Clinic, has been moved from McCallum Street, to inside the showgrounds.
SHDH COVID-19 response coordinator Emma Pay said the relocation facilitated improved safety for SHDH, and community members by reducing the volume of traffic on McCallum Street.
She said it also provided better shade and protection from the hot weather in the upcoming months.
Ms Pay thanked Swan Hill Rural City Council for supporting the health service with the move.
Community members who have even the mildest COVID-19 symptoms are urged to come forward for testing.
Entry to the Testing Clinic will be through the open gate at the top end of McCallum Street.
Motorists will be met by screening and administration staff who will complete the screening process.
Motorists are then directed forward into the Drive Through Testing Tent, eventually exiting the showgrounds onto Stradbroke Avenue.
SHDH advises those waiting to be tested to bring water to stay hydrated while waiting in line.
Community members are also advised to wear their masks when talking to SHDH staff and continue to isolate once tested until their test results are returned.
