Outrage for both sides

The hysterics by both our Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his offsider Penny Wong this past week show their weakness and ineptitude as our leaders.

Their cries along with other world leaders over the death of World Central Kitchen civilian aid workers, while very distressing, are the results of war anywhere.

Any civilian person heading into a war zone has to accept that death is a very possible outcome.

Anthony Albanese stated he is outraged over the death of this fine Australian along with six other civilian aid workers.

Where was this “outrage” over the deaths of women, children and elderly when thousands of “Gazan resistance fighters” brutally murdered, raped and burnt alive 1200 innocent civilians last October 7.

Yes we had a few platitudes of “tut tut” but not “outrage” and that pillaging by Hamas included Australian civilians.

If world leaders were serious about the Gaza war, it could have ended months ago if the same level of “outrage” was given for the release of hostages held by Hamas, not yet visited by

International Red Cross as is world standard any where else.

If “outrage” was expressed over Hamas using civilians as human shields, an international war crime in itself, or hiding in hospitals and schools then this war would have finished months ago.

World leaders from UN, USA, UK and France are screaming for a ceasefire, but very little mention is ever made concerning release of the hostages. Such a ceasefire would give the ability of Hamas to continue with similar atrocities in the future. Initially against the Israeli’s but eventually against Western nations anywhere and everywhere.

The standards of our society are on a very slippery downward slide when we pick and choose some incident involving seven civilians but ignore other far more serious incidents, of which there are many very single day.

The standards to which Israel is to be accountable to by world leaders far exceeds the standards they apply to their own actions. This increases the anti-semetic attitude worldwide and the same standard would not be tolerated by any western democracy.

And then to add insult to injury The Guardian goes on the same downward slide by publishing an extremely anti-semetic cartoon last Friday.
