Hands off our track

I WAS born and raised in Swan Hill and I now have a child of my own who was also born and is being raised in Swan Hill.

I’m wish to voice a few concerns that I think will really affect our town.

I have recently heard that our Motorplex may be put into the hands of out-of-town people (Skid City) who not only want to bulldoze everything apart from the drag strip but also want to build their own accommodation.

This will not only turn locals away but will have a massive impact on our town.

People have worked long and hard to do their best for the Motorplex over the past 80-ish years to bring people to our town who spend money in our town, and also all of the local sponsors.

This will impact our town and younger generation and also take away one of the very few attractions we have.

I’m unsure why the Swan Hill council would want parties from other towns to come to our town to run our Motorplex to then take every thing back to their city with no benefits for our town.

I definitely don’t agree with Skid City having anything to do with our town, let alone Swan Hill Motorplex.

I definitely support Swan Hill speedway’s proposal.
