Tuesday, February 1

· A storm that hit the Swan Hill area had wind gusts of up to 133km/h and resulted in more than 30 calls to the SES. There was damage to the main office of the Swan Hill Jockey Club, which lost its roof, and several small planes that were tossed about at the Swan Hill aerodrome.

· Lake Boga Australia Day celebrations recognised the efforts of community leaders in front of guest of honour, 100-year-old Muriel Keighran. Awards were presented to Dean Palmer (citizen of the year), Arlie Atkinson (junior citizen of the year) and Michelle Boxall (event of the year).

Friday, February 4

· A farm worker died after falling from a tractor-trailer being driven along North South Road at Woorinen. Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives and WorkSafe personnel were investigating the death of the 70-year-old, who was a member of the Afghan community.

· Farmers from Manangatang, Sea Lake and Lake Boga were able to get their hands on rapid antigen tests (RATs) after 56,000 were secured by the Victorian Farmers Federation, Food and Fibre Gippsland and Fruit Growers Victoria. Farmers were experiencing disruption from workers isolating after positive tests.
