Grand final this weekend

Moulamein Divi-1 has the big dance on Saturday at the Swan Hill Bowls Club against top of the table, Murray Downs.

Unlike last weekend with howling winds and being stinking hot, this Saturday will be in the low 30s and bugger all wind.

Perfect day for a grand final

Our Moulamein team is pumped and ready to do battle in their biggest game of the season.

There will be a bus running and bowlers get first go at the seats. Supporters are welcome to join in a first-in best-dressed order. Come over this Saturday and help cheer our team on.

I think the club president is even going to let the moths out of his account and fill the eskies up for a drink on the way home.

Win lose or draw, we will have a great bus trip home.

New water world makes no sense

THE Mighty Murrumbidgee jumped up two percent to go to 37 per cent of what we own. Because of this increase.

The price of water dropped over $30 per megaliter. Because of the amount of carry over, The NSW Murray has increased 48 per cent to a ripper 110 per cent of what they own.

This is a great result for our irrigators. But with a 48 per cent increase, the price of water went down a few dollars and then went back up higher than what it was before the increase.

It would take a smarter man than me to figure out the logic in that.

Gallery welding competition coming up

For those of you that think you are pretty handy at sticking steal together with a welder, our Moulamein Gallery has their bi-annual competition coming up this year.

There is usually a small and a large section to be entered into and always great prize money up for grabs.

Grab that pile of scrap and start to stick it together for a bit of fun this year. More details will be available soon.

River levels

Our Edward has almost steadied at just over 1.4 meters and around 1,150 megs a day.

Future levels will be determined by irrigation demands.
