St Arnaud 2023 Netball Preview

ENHANCED drive and motivation on the netball court is what St Arnaud are looking to put out this season.

The Saints A Grade side will be co-coached by Tania Scarce and Dylan Perri, both of whom boast a lot of netball knowledge and expertise.

“Both of us hope to bring success to the club this year by ensuring players are playing to their full potential and cohesively,” Scarce said.

“We will continue to build a positive culture and aim to gain some wins on the board and be extremely competitive.”

While the Saints had a tough year with numbers and injuries in 2022, they are aiming to get some wins on the board this season while creating a “vibrant community”.

“This was the beginning of our building phase – our success was measured by the positive culture around the club and our current level of returned interest to go one further,” Scarce said. “2023 is looking very bright at the Saints.”

Former club and North Central Netball Association best-and-fairest winners India Griffith and Chloe Douglas will return to the Saints’ line-up this year after starting families. Talented juniors Isabel Hand and Keegan Amos will also have a pivotal role within the club this season.

PLAYER TO WATCH

Scarce believes it will be a case of “having to wait and see” when it comes to a player to watch for the Saints this season as they have so many new recruits to their A Grade side.
