Eagles soar past Bulldogs in final round

TYNTYNDER’S frustrating 2025 campaign came to a close with a 26-goal thrashing by premiership favourites the Mallee Eagles on the weekend.

After a competitive opening quarter, the Bulldogs were soon blown out of the water after the first change, with the Eagles scoring 44-goals to 21 over the following three terms.

Despite the 57-31 final score, Tyntynder co-coach Bridget Dedini was pleased with her team’s efforts both on Saturday and for the season overall.

“We think we put up a good fight on Saturday, we had patches of great play and some obvious lapses, but overall we were pretty happy with our game,” Dedini said.

“In terms of our season, it’s much the same.

“We’ve been competitive with some of the top teams and had some moments of great play.

“Although we didn’t finish in a great ladder position, we’ve taken so many positives from the season and we’re thrilled with how our young girls have taken to senior netball also.”
