THE small town of Goodnight shone last Sunday night when Santa Claus paid a visit to town.

Around 100 locals and visitors came together to celebrate Christmas at the annual Goodnight Christmas Tree, an event that has been an integral part of the community since the 1970s.

Event organiser Mereeka Andrews said she was very happy with how the night ran, especially given the circumstances this year.
