Australian Seniors' Championships-All set for January

The 2022 Swan Hill AUSTRALIAN SENIORS' TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS to be staged over two weeks in January promises to be an ideal new start after two years of lockdowns and angst. The tournament will be staged at the Swan Hill Tennis and Croquet Club.The championships will provide plenty of friendly rivalry, competition, fun, social activities, and many opportunities for locals to meet others who love the game of tennis and just want to be out there on the courts playing or supporting and watching their teams.The tournament will be held between 9th and 21st, seniors' tennis players from all over Australia will converge on Swan Hill and its surrounding district. If travel restrictions are lifted there could also have teams from New Zealand and elsewhere competing.There will be two distinct weeks – Team's Week, staged between the 9-14th Jan and Individual's Week staged between the 16 -21st Jan.The team's week format consists of teams of four players competing in up to two timeslots per day (either 8am and 1.20pm or 10.40am and 4.00pm). Each competing team can have more than four players enabling all team members to enjoy a rest day. There will be Men's and Ladies Doubles divisions, defined in five or 10 year increments depending on the number of entries.Individuals Week – you can play for yourself in Singles, Ladies and Men's Doubles and Mixed Doubles in divisions of five year increments. Sometimes, due to event entries, it is necessary to combine events.Tennis Seniors are a very friendly and welcoming association.
