A BALRANALD football player has gone missing on his way to returning home to Darwin.

Jeremiah 'Jayo' Rivers was camping with friends in south-west Queensland when he failed to return to the group after he went for a walk.

Queensland Police Service (QPS) have extensively searched for Mr Rivers on foot, from the air and in the water.
