WITH just a gap of 55 points between them, Mungo house has taken out Balranald Central School's inaugural beach carnival day.

Mungo finished the day with 454 points to Yanga house's 399 points.

The carnival was held at Lake Benanee near Euston, with 130 students from kindergarten to Year 12 participating in the day as their parents - socially distanced - cheered them on.
