MURRAY Downs has secured funding for its first public boat ramp under stage three of the NSW Government's boating now program.

Murray River Council (MRC) secured $270,000 for upgrades at the Picnic Point boat ramp and a further $690,000 for the development at Murray Downs.

MRC mayor Chris Bilkey welcomed the upgrades, saying they would be of good use to both locals and visitors to the region.
