SLEEPY Boort was rattled and woken last Tuesday morning by a 3.4-magnitude earthquake.
Geoscience Australia, the earthquake monitoring agency, said 71 people felt the ground move at 2.30am.
The tremor occurred about 10km underground. No aftershocks were recorded.
The earthquake was felt as far away as Bendigo, Cohuna, Kerang, Pyramid Hill and Wedderburn.
