RESIDENTS of Swan Hill have returned more than six million 10 cent containers since November last year, earning a $604,620 refund across the local government area.

In total, sixty seven million drink containers have been diverted from landfill across Loddon Mallee as part of the Victorian Government’s container deposit scheme, according to scheme operator VicReturn.
