THE Swan Hill Fire Brigade have smoked the competition to claim a resounding victory at the Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria (VFBV) State Championships.

The Swan Hill Senior Urban running team took out the B section aggregate with 75 points accrued across the championships, 14 points clear of Warracknabeal in second place.
