A CELEBRATED actor and stolen generation elder Jack Charles became the first elder to address the Yoo-rrook Justice Commission in late April.

Mr Charles, 78, like the chair of the commission Professor Eleanor Bourke, has personal ties to Swan Hill, and he addressed the historic truth-telling process as part of the move to establish an official record of what was done to First Nations peoples.
