LAST Saturday, Punjabi women in Swan Hill came together at the Anglican Church to celebrate Teeyan.

Teeyan is a celebration of newly married women in Punjab, India, that takes place during the region's monsoon season.

More than 100 people attended the Punjabi cultural event in their best Punjabi suits and salwar kameezes.

There were also performances of singing and dancing by community members.
