THE cancellation of two fishing competitions has left local fishers reeling, as organisers cite limited resources, rising costs and river conditions as reasons for the snag.

Early last month, Swan Hill Lions Club and Swan Hill Rotary announced the decision to no longer run the Swan Hill Fishing Classic.

This news was followed by the Nyah Fishing Competition being postponed for 2024.
