Farm to fame: Kat Zam on finding herself and her people

AS the queer daughter of first-generation Greek parents, there were two sides to Kat Zam’s identity she struggled to embrace growing up.

In the ’90s in Robinvale, Greek families were the minority and openly queer folk were virtually nonexistent.

While growing up among the vineyards was filled with wholesome bush experiences for Zam, with small-town charm often comes small-town mentalities.
