A TOTAL Fire Ban has been declared for the Mallee and Wimmera fire districts for Friday, December 20.
No fires can be lit, or be allowed to remain alight, in the open air from 12.01am until 11.59pm.
The CFA has forecast a high fire danger in the Mallee and extreme in the Wimmera.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a maximum temperature of 38 degrees for Swan Hill.
