SWAN Hill Council residents can dispose of green waste free of charge on October 26 and 27.

Council director of infrastructure Leah Johnston said 322 residents took advantage of the opportunity last year.

She said the free green waste weekend was an ideal time for residents to tidy their yards in preparation for the warmer weather.
