IT is the word itself – remembrance – you just don't forget.

That's according to Swan Hill RSL president Viv Holland ahead of Remembrance Day on Monday.

“It doesn't take long for a community of people to forget what this is all about,” he said.

“It's not bringing up old memories.

“It's just sort of giving thanks, I suppose, to the people that gave the ultimate sacrifice.”
