THE last parts of the 90-year-old Gee Gee bridge over the Wakool River will be removed on Wednesday.

The timber bridge — on Noorong Road, about 37km east of Swan Hill — was replaced with a modern, two-lane concrete structure last year.

Crews have been working since August to remove the old Gee Gee bridge and the nearby flood relief bridge.
