SWAN Hill Veterinary Clinic vet Ashleigh Dunn says pet owners should stay vigilant for snakes and act quickly in the instance of a snake bite.

Dr Dunn said this year’s snake season started a bit later, with the clinic reaching a consistent admittance of animals for snake bite in mid-to-late October, but snakes were now active.
