SWAN Hill Rural City Council has announced the appointment of new chief executive Scott Barber.

Rosanne Kavahas been acting chief executive since November and will continue in the position until Mr Barber takes over on June 7.

Ms Kava took over after John McLinden resigned, following his choice not to be vaccinated against coronavirus.
