SWAN Hill members of Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS) want their local office to develop its own identity, MDAS leaders have heard.

Acting CEO Jacki Turfrey said the message emerged from meetings this month which involved a lot of "straight talk" from members.

Ms Turfrey said there had been "robust" criticism of the organisation, particularly over the last few years, at the meetings.
