SWAN HILL Fire: A SEMI-trailer carrying brush fencing caught fire while travelling on the Donald-Swan Hill Road in Meatian about 6.30pm last Friday.

The quick-thinking driver unhooked the prime mover and moved it to safety.

The fire moved from the trailer and crossed the road.

It was believed the fire was caused by a mechanical fault.
