THE Uniting Church in Swan Hill will hold a service to mark the annual World Day of Prayer this Friday.

The international, inter-church event is led by Christian women who welcome people to join in prayer and action for peace and justice.

This year's focus is on Palestine, following the ongoing destruction of Gaza and the deaths of over 30,000 men and women and children.
