THE depth of the Murray River at Swan Hill was at 1.03 metres on Wednesday, a substantial drop from January 26, when it was running at 3.848m.
The river flow had also slowed substantially, with just 4023ML a day passing through Swan Hill, compared to 22,777.483ML a day on January 26.
According to figures released on the Murray-Darling Basin Authority website, this was on par with water levels on March 1 last year, when the level was recorded at 1.03m.
