JADE Benham has opened up about the harrowing night she feared for her life at the hands of an abusive former partner two decades ago.

The Member for Mildura was triggered to tell her own shocking personal story of domestic violence after the alleged murder of Hannah McGuire by her ex-partner near Ballarat last month.
