A RETURN visit by 25 members of the Yamagata Club in October will mark the 40th anniversary of Swan Hill's friendship with its sister city.

In April, 20 members from Swan Hill visited Yamagata in a trip that was delayed by four years due to COVID-19.

The visit coincided with the cherry blossom season.

Swan Hill and Yamagata's sister city relationship is the second longest in Victoria.
