Turtle lagoon funds on new path

TURTLE TOWN: The turtle population residing in Lake Boga will benefit from a program to reduce foxes in the area, council has said.

FUNDS secured for restoration works at Lake Boga's Turtle Lagoon will instead go towards the Lake Boga Walking Path.

Council has made the decision to invest $140,000 — sourced from Regional Development Victoria (RDV) — in the walking path after investigations found restoration of the ponds and bank would provide "little benefit".

A further $40,000 will be invested by council in controlling foxes...
