BALRANALD Shire Council took to Facebook last week to notify Euston residents of the "higher than normal chlorine readings" which were causing odour and discolouration in their drinking water.

Council resolved the issue by diluting the chlorine in the reservoir and reticulation network, and the water levels leaving the Euston Water Plant were stabilised the next day.
