SWAN Hill Rural City Council will contribute $15,000 towards the employment of a housing support officer to help address the housing crisis if nine other councils also chip in their share.

Councillors voted in favour of the measure, despite several expressing concern that the officer’s focus might become “Bendigo or Mildura-centric”.
