A PUSH by a local committee to upgrade the Bidgee Haven Hostel to a 30-bed facility looks set to fail, according to Balranald Shire Council administrator Michael Colreavy.

While there is a strong community desire to proceed with the proposal due to the need for more beds for dementia sufferers, Mr Colreavy told The Guardian the financial plan for the upgrade doesn't bode well for its success.
